Kaitlyn Mettler was born January 2, 1997 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Kenneth Waggoner and Stephanie Koonce. She passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, in Oklahoma City at the age of 26.
She graduated from Duncan High School with the Class of 2016. On May 15, 2017 she married Jacob Mettler. She was employed as a cashier and Duncan Food Mart.
Kaitlyn enjoyed playing video games, especially Call of Duty and The Sims. She also enjoyed reading and coloring. She loved listening to music. Most of all, Kaitlyn loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bobby Koonce, and maternal great grandparents: Audrey Laverne Koonce and Henry Glen Koonce. Kaitlyn is survived by her husband, Jacob, and stepchild, Vladimir Mettler of Duncan. She is also survived by her mother, Stephanie Koonce of Duncan; father, Kenneth Waggoner; brother, Brayden Glenn Koonce of Duncan; maternal grandmother, Lynda Koonce of Duncan; aunt, Jennifer and husband John Borski of Marlow; great aunt, Valerie and husband Chuck Stratton; mother-in-law, Michelle Mettler and husband Bruce Combs of Duncan; and sister-in-law, Deeanna Mettler of Duncan.
Memorial donations can be made in her memory to Stephens County Humane Society, PO Box 669, Duncan, OK 73534.
