Kathryn Kay Thompson

Kathryn Kay Thompson, of Lawton, Oklahoma, was born December 14, 1956 in Duncan to Ernest and Virginia (Nix) Day. She passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the age of 65.

A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, April 28, at 2:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Harjo officiating, assisted by Rev. Bruce Jacob. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center of Duncan.

Kathy was a graduate of Duncan High School. She married Ronnie Thompson on June 25, 1999 in Chickasha. Kathy loved to collect M&M’s. She enjoyed spending time with her children, but especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a strong woman and stubborn. Kathryn never met a stranger. She was loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and sister: Carolyn Dillon. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie; children: Rusty Bridgers and wife Kelli of Oklahoma City, Kristi Bennett and husband Marcus of Purcell, Stacy Peters and husband Jeard of Lawton, Wendi Gonzalez and husband Ray of Duncan, Amber Thompson of Duncan; grandchildren: Samantha Bridgers, Chance Bridgers, Trey Bridgers, Sandra Lou Bridgers, Grayson Bridgers, Parker Bennett, Austin Sosebee, Brayden Sosebee, Ashley Gonzalez, Jesse Gonzales, Gabi Gonzalez, Ayden Thompson, Aydriana Riveros, Aydi Thompson, Amiya Thompson; great grandchildren: Emersyn Turner, Emylee Turner, Xandr Gonzalez, Jemma Gonzalez; sister, Marilyn Pixley of Duncan; and numerous other relatives and friends.
