Kay Lyn Sullivan, 70, of Duncan, passed away December 16, 2024, from complications caused by a stroke. Kay Lyn was born on August 11, 1954, to Charlene (Schick) and Patrick Sullivan. She was a very proud 1972 graduate of Duncan High School. Many beautiful friendships took root from elementary school through high school which flourished into blessings throughout her life. She was the "glue" that kept a web of friends together over the years.

She attended Oklahoma State University (B.S. Interior Design) where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi, making more lifelong friends, especially her YaYa Sisters. Upon graduation, she began her career as an interior designer (ASID) in Texas and later back in Duncan. Her recent years were spent being the primary caregiver for her mother for which her family is eternally grateful.

Kay gave selflessly of her time volunteering which included: PEO Chapter EE, Pi Beta Phi Alumni Club (former President and Golden Arrow honoree), Traditional Study Club, Philomathic Women's Study Club. In addition, Kay loved animals and gave of her resources and time to Stephens County Humane Society.

A friend to many, Kay, was caring and supportive. Kay loved having fun and entertaining. She was known for checking in regularly with friends, sharing her homemade Limoncello, Kahlua, and chocolate rum cake, and hosting spectacular events. She had a recognizable laugh that could fill a room.

Kay was preceded in death by her brother, Kelly and her father. She was survived by her precious mother, and best friend, Charlene; brother, Scott (Denise); niece, Delaney Claire; cherished family; and countless adoring friends.

A joint celebration life service for Kay and Charlene will be held Saturday, February 22 at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church of Duncan. Memorial donations in Kay's name may be made to the Stephens County Humane Society or the Stephens County Historical Museum.
