Keith Stroud Obituary

Keith Allen Stroud was born November 28, 1960 in Lawton, Oklahoma to William Arnold and Bobbie Jean (Melton) Stroud and spent a lot of time with his grandparents, Claude (Dadaw) and Viola (Pig/Honey) Melton. He passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at his home in Duncan with his children at his side. He is and always will be deeply missed.

Keith graduated from Lawton High School in 1978 and received an Associate Degree from the Control Data Institute of Dallas Texas and a Bachelor’s Degree in MIS from Cameron University. He worked in the Computer Science and Management fields for most of his career at Halliburton 1982-1999, Family Dollar 1999-2014 and Mercy Hospitals 2014-2022. Keith’s quick wit and compassion earned him a place in many hearts and minds wherever life took him.

Keith married Letha Diane (Ford) Stroud on August 6, 1982 and together they raised four children - Christopher, Jeremy, Alicia and Robert. He had a passion for his family and loved them all very much, especially his grandchildren. He always tried to make it to any events in which they were involved. He served and participated in as many activities as his children were involved in, be it as a soccer referee and coach, Boy Scout leader or backman enforcer in paintball games. He also held a special interest in his nephews lives from simply having hours long lunch conversations to out of state tournaments and celebrations. Keith also enjoyed tinkering, working on his cars, sound systems, computers and yard work, especially riding his lawn mower and growing flowers.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife, and grandparents, Keith is survived by his children: Christopher and wife Alissa Beck of Broken Arrow, Jeremy Stroud of Arkansas, Alicia Koenke of Edmond, Robert and wife Courtney "Paige" Stroud of Duncan; 8 grandchildren: Briana Heilman, Kambri Williams, Scarlett Koenke, Paige Beck, Kena Beck, Magnolia Stroud, Poplar Stroud, Otto Stroud; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Debbie and Greg Tucker; nephews, Derek and Cambra Tucker, Chase and Emmaline Tucker; and great nephew, Andrew Almany.

A Celebration of Keith's Life will be held on Saturday, July 2, at 11:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
