Kenneth Lee Anderson, of Duncan, Oklahoma, was born October 17, 1930 to Charles Omer Anderson and Bertha (Barber)Anderson in Buffalo, Missouri. He passed away on May 15, 2022 at the age of 91.
Visitation will be Friday, May 19, between 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home. A graveside service is planned for Saturday, May 21, at 1:00 pm at the Claud (OK) Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Balee McAuley, Rylan Poston, Jevon Smith, Hagan Brandt, Anthony Mata, and Steve Herndon.
Kenneth left home at the age of 14 and traveled across the western United States. He worked at many different jobs, including 17 years at WT Robinson Trucking where he was lovingly known as “Cowboy.” He loved playing steel guitar, harmonica, and singing. He enjoyed going on motorcycle trips. He did not judge anyone and could get along with everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sammie “Claudene” Anderson; son, Kenny Anderson; granddaughter, Ashley Anderson; and great-great granddaughter, Marlee Poston. He is survived by his son, Charles and wife Lisa Anderson of Duncan; grandchildren: Kenna and husband Steve Herndon of Dallas, Brandi Poston of Duncan, Kerri and husband Anthony Mata of Dallas, Heather and husband Gray Brandt of Duncan, Tommy and wife Lola Brady of Washington, D.C., Jennifer and husband Skylar Riegel of Duncan, Mary and husband Kale Newton of Duncan, Krisi Bollman of Ardmore, Amy Anderson of Tulsa, and Jenny Anderson of Tulsa; sister: Deannie and husband James Denison of Duncan; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
