Kent graduated with the Class of 1965 of Duncan High School. He then attended the University of Oklahoma. On December 21, 1968 Kent married his one true love, Judith Ann Powers, in Duncan. After two years at OU he was accepted into the Northwestern University School of Dentistry in Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduation from dental school, he worked with his dad, Dr. L.A. Hall, for 5 years. In 1975 Kent and Judy adopted their three children. He then attended St. Louis University for Orthodontic School. He and Judy returned to Duncan in 1979 to raise their children and start a new orthodontic practice. He temporarily practiced on Main Street until his new office on Walnut street was completed. He practiced at that location on Walnut Street until 2018 when he retired. He always invited the parents of the children he treated to sit at the foot of the dental chairs and watch or talk about their child’s orthodontics. Kent had many loyal employees that he trusted, loved and cherished.
He also served as adjunct professor at the OU College of Dentistry where he taught invisalign techniques for ten years. When he retired, he sold his office and practice to two of the students he had taught.
Kent loved to play golf and was a gentleman's golfer. He was definitely a family man. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much. In fact, he loved all children. He was also a very generous man, giving more than he would ever take. He helped many families that needed financial assistance with braces, school functions, and many more unknown works.
Kent has been a member of Assumption Catholic Church his entire life. He and Judy have volunteered with the church for years from sponsoring the youth group, to teen happenings, and ski trips, helping start the food bank, and partnering with Jesse Moore to start a Catholic Scholarship.
