Kimberly Ann Downey was born October 14, 1963 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Perry and Bonnie (Layn) Scifres. She passed away surrounded by her family in Duncan Regional Hospital on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the age of 60.

The family will greet visitors from 2:00-4:00 P.M., Sunday, August 18, at Whitt Funeral Home. A funeral service is planned for 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 19 at New Hope Baptist Church West with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 P.M. in the Claud Cemetery with Doug Jensen, Toddy Pyle, Buck Scifres, Colby Scifres, Troy Downey, and James Layn serving as pallbearers.

Kimberly graduated from Velma High School and worked as a clerk at the Stephens County Courthouse. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, puzzles and shopping. Most of all, Kimberly loved her family and friends and spending time with them, especially her granddaughter, Paisley.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Danny Scifres; sister, Debbie Gear; niece, Dionne Watson; and grandson, Landon Downey.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Tommy Downey; son, Keaton Beaird and wife Candace of Huntington Beach, CA; step-children: Rachel Watson of Rolland, OK, Troy Downey, of Ratliff City, OK; granddaughter, Paisley Beaird; bonus grandchildren: Emily Watson, Eli Watson, and Lucas Downey; and sister-in-law Patsy Scifres.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Countyline Baptist Church at PO Box 146, Velma, OK 73491.
