Krista Lyn Lewis McCray, 46, passed away March 6, 2025.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held for Krista on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 1:30 P.M. at the Apache First Baptist Church Outreach Center, 223 S Walnut, Apache OK 73006.

Born on August 22nd, 1978, to parents Jay Lewis and Judith Livingston in Cocoa Beach, Florida, she moved to Lawton, Oklahoma in 1993 to live with her father where she attended Eisenhower High School until she graduated with the class of 1996. After high school, she met Waylon McCray, and soon after they had their son Micah McCray. Krista and Waylon got married in 1999 and lived together in Apache. A few years later they had their daughter, Keegan McCray. Years later when her kids were bigger, she went to college and obtained her degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse for a few years, and switched career paths to work as a bail bondsman, which she enjoyed very much.

When Krista was younger, she loved to go dancing with her friends, being outside in the sun, and collecting rocks and journals. In her free time, Krista loved to do arts and crafts, listen to her favorite rock bands, and if there was anything that needed fixed, she was going to fix it.

Krista became a grandma in April of 2021, when her son Micah and wife RaeLee gave birth to the first grandbaby, Jon Colby McCray. Three years later, Micah and RaeLee welcomed their daughter in September of 2024, Scottie Jo McCray. Krista loved her kids and grandkids so much and considered them her world.

Krista is survived by her Significant Other, James Spencer. Children: Micah McCray and wife RaeLee, Keegan McCray Orf and husband Cullin. Grandchildren: Colby and Scottie McCray. Parents: Jay Lewis and Judith Livingston. Siblings: Jason Lewis and partner Amber, Elizabeth Rylant and husband Ryan. Krista has several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends that she loved very much.

Krista was preceded in death by her grandparents, Milton and Yvonne Lewis, also known as Granny and Grandad. Her beloved fur baby, Penelope.

Krista will forever be missed for her free-spirited personality and crazy hair. Her love for the people she held close knew no bounds.
