LaVeta Pearl Davis was born on August 1, 1937 in Lookeba, Oklahoma to Lennie and Leona Darrah.
She passed away at her home in Cyril, Oklahoma on July 22, 2020.
LaVeta grew up on the family farm one mile west of Lookeba and graduated from Lookeba High School in 1955.
She married Ralph Davis on November 9, 1956.
LaVeta served faithfully as a minister's wife for many years in the West Oklahoma Conference of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She taught Sunday school, children's church as well as serving as the Conference Women's Ministries President for many years. She was a charter member of Calvary Temple in Cyril.
LaVeta's hobbies included sewing, crocheting and making quilts. Over the past couple of years she assisted in making a quilt for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known for crocheting dish rags, pot holders and has made hundreds over the years and enjoyed giving them to others. She also owned and operated ceramic shops for several years in various towns in which they ministered.
She was also known for her faith and love for God and was a strong believer in the power of prayer. LaVeta loved reading the Bible, having read the entire Bible well over fifty times.
LaVeta was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Darrah.

Tara Allen and husband Tanner of Cyril
Jonathan Ackley and wife Lauren of Cyril
Darrah Shuffield and husband Eddie of Apache
Troy Brookshire of Cyril
Great Grandchildren:
Makenzie, Bryson and Camden Allen, Cooper Ackley, and Kalene and Daniel Shuffield.
Viewing will be Friday, July 24, until 7:00 P.M. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 25, at 3:00 P.M. at Calvary Temple with Rev. Trulan Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Celestial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cyril Funeral Home.
