Larry Wayne Collins

Larry Wayne Collins Sr. was born October 23, 1953, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Nick Collins and Ora Lee (Ricks) Robinson. He passed away at his home in Lawton, Oklahoma on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the age of 71.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Larry worked as an auto mechanic in the Army National Guard and throughout his life. He loved taking things apart and putting them back together. In his free time, Larry enjoyed listening to blues music and collecting toy cars and other items. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Tommy Lee Smith, Rodney Lynn Prince, Roy Prince; and sisters: Joyce Prince, Dorothy Prince, and Viesta Prince.

Survivors include his children: Leo Dwight Engles and fiancé Anette Carrillo of Lawton, OK, Larry Wayne Collins Jr. and fiancé Mecole of Del City, OK, and Treva Pitcher and husband Michael of Denham Springs, LA; 7 grandchildren: Nancy Carillo, Amancio Carillo, Antonio Carillo, Ebony Engles, Larry Wayne Collins III, Emmanuel Shannon, and Micah Pitcher. Other survivors include brothers: David Prince and wife Tina, Nick Collins Jr.; and sister, Violet Tollaver.
