Larry Noble Obituary

Larry James Noble, 85, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 18, 2026, with his family by his side.

Larry was born February 25, 1941, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Roy and Alerta (Henslee) Noble. He graduated from Lawton High School in 1960 and continued his education at Cameron University before earning his bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University.

He proudly served in the United States Army for two years, working as a cook at Fort Sill. Following his military service, Larry began a long and dedicated career in civil service as an exchange manager, serving for 30 years.

On June 8, 1963, Larry married the love of his life, Reba Strickland. Their life together took them across the United States and around the world, creating memories that shaped their 63 years of marriage. They raised one son, Derek, whom they loved deeply. Larry's heart remained devoted to Reba, who preceded him in death just five weeks before his own passing.

Larry enjoyed a full and active life. He loved golfing, bowling, fishing, traveling, and especially waterskiing. His easygoing nature, sense of humor, and love for adventure made him a joy to be around.

He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his steady work ethic, and the warmth he brought to every chapter of his life.

Larry is survived by his son, Derek Noble and wife Michelle of Duncan; his granddaughters, Miranda Jackson and husband Jerome, Mackenzie Noble, and Kenedy Noble; and his nieces: Debbie, Tina, Tana, Jackie, Kimi; and nephew, Rod.

He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Reba; and brother, Kenny Noble.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Chisholm Trail Hospice for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Larry and his loved ones.

A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Jerome Jackson, Alex Wilkerson, Rod Burch, and Dennis Chavez. There is no viewing scheduled. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider making a memorial donation to the Dementia Society of America or the Alzheimer's Association.
