Lauraleen Archer Obituary

Lauraleen (Lolly) Archer, died peacefully on March 7, 2025. She was 82 years old. Lolly was born on July 10, 1942, in Duncan, Oklahoma to her parents, R.Q. Abrams and Imogene (Fowler) Abrams.

She lived in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Paschal High School in 1960. After high school, Lolly attended North Texas State University and received her Bachelors and Masters degree in Library Science in 1968. While in college, Lolly met Mike Archer. They married on June 15, 1963 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Lolly and Mike lived in Farmers Branch, Texas for the majority of their married life. There they had their daughter, Laura Suzanne Archer (Boenig) on April 29, 1970. They attended many of Laura's activities and also were active in church and community events.

Lolly was active in Civic League, bridge clubs, catering business and worked 20 years for Brookhaven Community College as a librarian. She was an avid reader and collected and read hundreds of cookbooks. Her collection of cookbooks was donated to Texas Women's University Library in Denton, Texas.

Lolly was preceded in death by her parents, R Q and Imogene Abrams, and husband, Michael Leroy Archer. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Boenig and husband Eric Boenig and two grandchildren, James Boenig and Allison Boenig; her sister, Suzanne Parnell, and two nieces, Michelle White and Meredith Albin.

A Funeral service is planned on Saturday, March 15, at 11:00 A.M. at Whitt Funeral Home under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.
