Letha Stroud Obituary

Letha Diane Stroud was taken from this world by cancer on September 13, 2021, with family by her side. She is deeply missed. Diane, as she preferred to be called, was born to Robert and Shirley Ford on August 22, 1957 in Marlow, Oklahoma. Most of her childhood was spent in Marlow where she graduated Marlow High School in 1975.

Diane met Keith Stroud in January of 1982 and knew he was the love of her life. Diane and Keith were married on August 6, 1982 and became an instant family. Together they had 4 children – Christopher, Jeremy, Alicia, and Robert. Diane had the most demanding job ever, taking care of the home and family. Even after the last child left home, Diane’s lifetime commitment was to her family, children, and grandchildren.

Diane leaves behind her soul mate of 39 years, Keith; Children: Christopher and Alissa Beck of Tulsa, Alicia Koenke of Edmond, Robert and Paige Stroud of Duncan, and Jeremy Stroud; Sister, Debbie and Greg Tucker of Allen, TX.

The Sun, Moon, and Stars in Diane’s eyes were always her Grandchildren: Briana Heilman, Kambri Williams, Scarlett Koenke, Paige Beck, Kena Beck, Magnolia Stroud, Poplar Stroud, and Otto Stroud. Diane also had a special love for her Nephews and their families: Derek and Cambra Tucker of Festus, MO, and Chase and Emmaline Tucker of Oklahoma City.

A glorious family reunion was held with her parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles when Diane walked through the gates of Heaven. A Celebration of her Life will be held for the rest of us at Whitt Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 22 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to come and meet with family and share lifetime stories about Diane will be welcome.
