Linda Baker Obituary

Linda Sue Baker, a devoted mother, cherished “Mema,” beloved sister, and faithful servant of the Lord, went home to be with her Savior on May 6, 2026, at the age of 80 in Duncan. Born on January 29, 1946, in Duncan to B.H. and Ruth Collier, Linda lived a life defined by steadfast faith, hard work, and unconditional love for her family.

A proud 1964 graduate of Duncan High School, Linda built a beautiful life rooted deeply in her community. She lovingly raised her three boys and dedicated many years of hard work and service to Halliburton, where she formed lifelong friendships and left a lasting impression on those who knew her.

Linda found happiness in life’s simple blessings — quilting, gardening, fishing, and most of all, spending time with the people she loved most. She had a special gift for preserving memories and was almost always found behind the camera, capturing holidays and family gathering so those moments could be treasured forever.

Known lovingly by everyone as “Mema,” Linda’s greatest joy in life was her family. She poured endless love into her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always making each one feel deeply loved, supported, and special. Her nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Above all else, Linda loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith carried her through every season of life and was evident in the kindness, grace, and compassion she showed to everyone around her. Even through difficult times, she remained steadfast in her trust in God, finding peace in His promises and sharing that peace with those she loved.

Linda is survived by her sisters: Francine Newman and Debbie Bradford; her three sons: Brian and his wife Michele Baker, Jeff Baker, and Jim Baker; her grandchildren: Bryson and his wife Tayler Baker, Brant and his wife Lynnsie Baker, Karsen and her husband Kale Reed, Nelaina Carter, Kelby Baker, Kale Baker, Kole Baker, and Elle Baker; and her great-grandchildren: Sawyer Baker, Lillian Baker, Talen Baker, Braxton Baker, Lawson Baker, Tatum Reed, Myers Reed, and Cal Reed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, B.H. and Ruth Collier, and her siblings: Melba Dowling, Wanda Jennings, Karen Perry, and James Collier.
