Linda Faye Bowden

Linda Faye (Suttle) Bowden, 80, of Duncan, OK passed away on September 10, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 2, 1942 in Boston, MA to E.L. “Sonny” Suttle and Lura Mae (Cooper) Suttle. She called Duncan home in her early years. After living briefly in Colorado Springs, she moved back to Duncan as a teenager. She met Bob Bowden in 1958, and they married that October. After having her first child, she went back to school and graduated from Duncan High School in 1961. She welcomed two more children and spent the next several years of her life as a homemaker, while also helping her husband manage their cattle trucking business. She lived in Frederick, OK with her husband and kids from 1965 to 1975. After her family moved to Comanche, OK, she started working in the banking industry in 1976. She served as an Ag Loan Secretary for 30 years and eventually retired in 2006.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Bob Bowden; her children, Billy Bob Bowden and wife, Sandy, of Comanche, Terri Strecker and husband, Rory, of Lawton, OK, and Christy Dillard of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Shy-Anne Jarrett and husband, Ryan, Tori Strecker, Clay Strecker and fiancé, Sarah Fancher, Zac Sanders, and Nic Dillard and wife, Rachel; her great-grandchildren, Jurnee Rae Jarrett and Carden Thomas Dillard; her brother, Jon E. Suttle; her sister, Cindy Johnson and husband, Kelly; her niece, Cortney Claborn and husband, Shane, and their children, Connor and Colton; her niece, Jennifer Reynolds and husband, Bart, and their children, Sydney, Ella and Ryan; her niece, Sherry Suttle; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Bowden, Sharon Bowden, Jo Ann Bowden, and Carol Williams; her step-grandchildren, Clint Dillard and wife, Stephanie, and Ben Dillard and wife, Amber; close family friend, Jo Ann Dillard; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a Memorial honoring Linda on Friday, September 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Whitt Funeral Home, 4748 US-81, Duncan, OK 73533. Alive stream of her service will be available on her obituary page at www.whittfh.com.
