Linda Sue Dodd was born on November 2, 1953, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to J.R. and Betty June (Harris) Roundtree. She finalized her earthly journey on Saturday, March 14, 2020, with her family by her side. She was 66.
A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, March 20, at 1:00 P.M. at Duncan Municipal Cemetery with Pastors Billy Morgan and Mike Covington officiating. Serving as pallbearer will be her brother, Jimmy Roundtree. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Linda was a 1971 graduate of Duncan Christian School and also graduated from Red River Technology Center. She worked in the Duncan Regional Hospital emergency room for 25 years (which also included Lindley and P&S Hospitals) and at Urgent Med for 12 years as a nurse. She enjoyed hosting potluck dinners. She loved family dinners, especially at the holidays. Her specialty food was fried chocolate pies. She enjoyed watching cooking programs, along with sci-fi and western movies, especially black and white movies. She enjoyed traveling. Her grandkids were her pride and joy, the loves of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.R. and June Roundtree.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Anndria Turner and fiancé Dean Younger; grandchildren: Rhian Evans and Leland Davis; brother, Jimmy and wife LaFreda Roundtree; sister, Debra McKinnon; nieces and nephews: Tye McKinnon, Andrew Roundtree, Brooklyn Lassley, Alyxa McKinnon, and Sebastian McKinnon.
