Linda Lou Hooker, 85, of Duncan, Oklahoma, was born April 17, 1940 in Eakly, Oklahoma to Archie Udell and Imogene Lucille (Enyart) Moore. She completed her earthly journey on Friday, April 18, 2025, with her family at her side.

A graveside service is planned for Tuesday, April 22, at 2:00 P.M. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Wheeler officiating. The family will greet visitors following the service from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.

Linda graduated from Eakly High School in 1959. Linda married Nelson Hooker, her high school sweetheart, soulmate and companion, on February 20, 1961, in Eakly, Oklahoma. Following their marriage, they lived in Old Bridge, NJ, Weatherford, OK and Rolla, MO. In 1966, they settled in Duncan. Linda and Nelson were the proud parents of two sons, Justin and Chad.

She took great pride in caring for her family and home. She enjoyed traveling and fishing with Nelson following his retirement. They loved to travel to Big Sky country during the summers and would spend Fall and Spring at their place on Lake Fork in Texas. She was a member of the First Christian Church for 50 years.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law: Justin and Kristy Hooker of Duncan, Chad and Susie Hooker of Gillette, Wyoming; three grandchildren: Jessica and husband Chris Meyers of Moore, Abigail and husband Kolton Burge of Broken Arrow, Derek Hooker of Gillette; and great grandchildren: Justin John "JJ" Meyers, Jackson Roland Meyers, and Oakley Lane Burge. Other survivors include her sister, Helen Moore, and brother, Rocky and wife Ingrid Moore, sisters in law and numerous nephews and nieces.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nelson; sister, Donna Oglesby; and brothers, Roger Moore and Robert Moore.

Pallbearers will be Derek Hooker, Chris Meyers, Kolton Burge, Bill Jennings, Greg Winegardner, and Kelly Burge.
