Lloyd Wayne Bradley was born on June 27, 1936, in Waurika, Oklahoma to Robert Lee and Mattie Jo (Wohlgemuth) Bradley. He completed his earthly journey on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the age of 88.
Funeral services are planned for 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 9, at New Hope Baptist Church West with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.
Lloyd graduated from Velma High School in 1956. He married the love of his life, Betty Jo Clark, on June 16, 1956. Together, they raised three children: Mindy, Lloyd Jr., and Faye. Lloyd worked for Goodner Supermarkets and ended his working career at Halliburton, where he was employed as a liaison inspector. He loved to travel and go fishing and water skiing. He was a member of a local antique car club and a CB radio club. Camping and going for jeep rides in the mountains were his favorite vacation times. Most of all, Lloyd loved to spend time with his family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; and son-in-law, George Newton.
Lloyd is survived by his children: Mindy Newton, Lloyd Bradley Jr. and wife Teresa, Faye Thedford and husband Dean; 7 grandchildren: Caleb Hunt (Megan), Bradley Hunt (Allison), Crystal Powers (Jamey), Nick Black, Christopher Goodman (Jaimie), Olan Goodman (Elle), Brian Thedford (Katelyn); 18 great-grandchildren: Maddie Hunt, Cora Hunt, Jay Hunt, Cain Hunt, Dalice Hunt, Kaden Hunt, Sydney Ferguson (Joseph), Trent Hunt, Presley Hunt, Jamyson Powers, Isaac Powers, Bailey Powers, Gabriel Powers, Olivia Acosta, Sophia Acosta, Oliver Goodman, Elliot Goodman, Brinlee Thedford; and great-great granddaughter, Pheebe Powers.
