Lois Sampson Obituary
Lois Marie (Todd) Sampson entered into the Kingdom of God on February 21, 2021 at Duncan Regional Hospital in Duncan, Ok. Lois was born on July 28, 1966 in Jacksonville, IL, the daughter of Herbert and Percie Louise (Elliott) Todd. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1984.
Through the years her cheerful smile graced many places through her employment as a cake decorator, manager and waitress. She loved working with the public, always with a joke and a laugh, making each person feel loved and special. But, her favorite job was as Meme to her multiple grandchildren and nieces and nephews, always coming up with neat holiday ideas and delicious school treats! She never met a stranger and made everyone a friend.
Lois is survived by her children, Amber Goodwin and Jeremiah Goodwin of Auburn, IL, along with her grandchildren, Kaleb and Kadyn Goodwin, Kenzington and Kingzton Garrison, Cheyenne Quick, and Bailey and Nicole Goodwin. Her surviving siblings include Pat Chaplin and Bob Howard of Auburn, IL and Don Howard of Jerseyville, IL, and her niece, Kelli Payne, and nephews, Jay Chaplin and Jeff Caballero. She was also loved by her Oklahoma family, Lynette Wood, Judy Quick, Tiffany Barenthin and Nicole Wood along with Meme's grands, Aiden, Nathan and Lillie White, Riley, Zander, Ryder, Peyton and Walker Barenthin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Linda Caballero; brother, Terry Howard and brother-in-law, John Chaplin.
Cremation rights will be accorded by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Auburn.
