Marlene Henson

Sylvia "Marlene" Henson, 87, was born December 11, 1934 in Webb City, Oklahoma to Harvey Marion and Sylvia Leta (Johnson) Matney. She completed her earthly journey on Friday, April 22, 2022, in Dallas, Texas.

Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, April 29, at 11:00 A.M. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Sammye Amerson officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Bowen, Oliver Weddle, and Brittany Pokorski. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home of Duncan.

Marlene was employed as a secretary for an appliance repair shop. She enjoyed cooking and being outdoors. She also loved to talk on the telephone. Listening to old country music was a favorite pastime. She liked to tell stories about the old days. She wanted everyone to get along and not to be sad. She loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Henson; parents, Harvey and Sylvia Matney; son, Gary Henson; and daughter, Cheryle Henson.

Marlene is survived by her children: Mary Henson and Stacy Venable; grandchildren: Christina Weedle and Mathew Henson; great grandchildren: Aly and Lexy; and sister, Joyce Foster.
