Marvin "Earl" McCauley Obituary
Longtime Marlow resident Marvin "Earl" McCauley went to his heavenly home on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the age of 92. He was born on January 31, 1934, to Marvin and Irene (Stark) McCauley.
Earl grew up in Marlow and graduated from Marlow High School. Following high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Throughout his life, Earl worked as an auctioneer, a career he truly enjoyed and one that gave him the opportunity to meet and visit with many people over the years.
In September of 1955, Earl married Bonnie Joyce Hale. Together, they built a life filled with family, love, and lasting memories, celebrating 70 years of marriage.
Earl enjoyed the simple things in life. He could often be found watching rodeos on television, fishing, camping, or sharing a good joke with those around him. He especially enjoyed eating at Barb's in Marlow, where a good meal and friendly conversation were always welcome. Earl had a way of enjoying life and the people around him, and his sense of humor will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Above all, Earl loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie; grandchildren: Emily Jewell Myers and husband Cody, Barri Durant McCauley, and Lilly Daneigh McCauley and Aaron Nooner; great-grandchildren: Everly Myers, Kace Nooner, and Waylin Nooner; brother, Roy McCauley; sisters: Lou Ann Stiles and husband Renick, Hazel Eisenlohr and husband Ike, and Joy Woods and husband David; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Irene McCauley; son, Wayne McCauley; brothers, Buck McCauley and Gene McCauley; and sisters, Caroline Whisler, Judy Mayes, and Patricia Long.
A memorial service is planned for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 3, at Connection Church Marlow with Dr. Joe Ligon officiating with assistance by Pastor David Woods. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
