Mary Lois Collinsworth was born November 14, 1932 in Willow Springs, Missouri to Allen and Beulah Elizabeth (Lyon) McClanahand. She passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at her home in Duncan with her family at her side. She was 89.
The family will greet visitors on Sunday, May 22, between 2:00-4:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home. A graveside service is planned for Monday, May 23, at 10:00 A.M. at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery with Ron Stough, minister at Eastside Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Mary graduated from Hutchinson High School. She married Kenneth Murry Collinsworth Sr. and their family was complete with five children: Teresa, Brad, Mark, Tommy, Kenneth, and Jerry Don.
She enjoyed decorating. She loved to travel to Europe and Hawaii. She especially enjoyed camping. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She also loved to read and play board games and card games. Mary was involved in her church, sewing different items to give to the nursing home residents. She was a faithful member of Eastside Church of Christ. She loved her family dearly.
Mary is survived by her children: Teresa and husband Terry Phelps of Duncan, Brad and wife Thelma Ryder of Portland, OR, Mark Ryder of Duncan, Tommy and wife Dee Collinsworth of Edmond, and Kenneth and wife Jenny Collinsworth of Fort Worth; grandchildren: Shane Johnston, Jennifer Goulaf, and Brian Ryder; great grandchildren: Callie Goulaf, Cameron Esgate, Conner Johnston, Dillon Ryder, Tristian Ryder, and Kalliope Ryder; and sister, Polly Jerome of Conway, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Jerry Don Collinsworth; grandchild, Jeremy Ryder; and brothers: Bill McClanahand and Jimmy McClanahand.
