Mary Deloris Fisher

Mary Deloris Fisher (Reames) was born on November 28, 1944, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 81. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family.

Mary married the love of her life, Jimmie Clyde Fisher, at the young age of 15. They shared many years together before Jimmie passed away on October 3, 2012. Mary built a life centered around her family, her work, and the many people she cared for throughout the years.

Mary is survived by her three children and their spouses: Rita and Richard Staton, Dwayne and Tia Fisher, and Debbie and Jay Hansen. She is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses: Courtney and Josh Stewart, Nathan and Jen Staton, Hunter and Morgan Staton, Cody Fisher and Jordan Donald, Carrington and Ethan Ladd, Levi Fisher, Abbie and Devin Gilbert, and Hayden and Madie Weaver. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Kynlee, Keaton, Tucker, Harbor, Elle, Caroline, Rhett, Graham, and baby Dru, who is on the way.

Mary first opened her home and her heart to children by operating an in-home daycare, where she cared for and loved many children over the years. She later dedicated 31 years to Apache Schools as a cook and also worked as a painter for the schools. Through each of these roles, Mary had a special way of caring for others and making people feel welcomed, safe, and loved.

In her spare time, Mary could often be found doing the things she loved most. She enjoyed making quilts for her loved ones, putting her creativity and love into every stitch. She loved challenging her mind by doing puzzles, reading books, and playing games, and she especially enjoyed watching sports. She loved staying busy, keeping her mind active, and spending time doing the things that brought her joy.

Mary faced several setbacks throughout her life, but those challenges never took away her ability to see the good in life. She was one of the most positive, loving, and resilient people her family knew. No matter what life brought her way, she continued to show love, kindness, and strength to those around her.

Mary's greatest legacy was the love she gave to her family, the faith she lived out each day, and the example she set for everyone who knew her. She was a role model to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, showing them through her life the importance of keeping their faith, staying positive, loving others, working hard, and persevering through difficult times. She treasured her family and found so much happiness in watching each generation grow. The lessons she taught, the memories she created, the quilts she lovingly made, and the love and faith she shared will continue through every generation.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Easther Reames, and her siblings, Dub and Jeanette Reames, and Shirley and Andy Roberts.

While Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, her family finds peace in knowing that she knew God and is now pain-free, healed, and joyful in Heaven. They find comfort in knowing that she is at peace, surrounded by God's love, and reunited with those she loved who went before her.

A graveside inurnment service is planned for 12:00 P.M., Saturday, August 29, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Apache, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Crews Funeral Home.
