Mary Shahan Obituary
Mary Jo Shahan, born October 11, 1945, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to James Bishop and Lula (Bonner) Toups, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the age of 80.
Mary Jo earned a master's degree in business, a foundation she carried into a long and meaningful career serving in various hospitals as well as at Halliburton. Her work ethic, professionalism, and compassion touched many lives throughout the years.
Outside of her career, Mary Jo found joy in the beautiful meaningful things of life. She loved arts and crafts, antiques, fishing, and cooking, and she especially cherished time spent with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Richard Lee Daniel; and her sister, Jeannie DeBree.
Survivors include her husband, Gene Shahan; children: Debbie Wilcox, Misty Wilcox Rose and husband Leslie; step-children: Billy Shahan, Roy McDaniel and wife Diane, Sandra Robertson and husband Clinton, Diana Johnson, Jeannie Babbitt and husband Terry, Susie Corbitt; 18 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Bishop; and sister, Joy McQueen.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
