Mike Bilbrey, 68, of Duncan Oklahoma, passed away on March 15, 2025 at OU Medical Center surrounded by his loving friends and family. Mike was born April 25, 1956, in Duncan Oklahoma the son of Clyde Bilbrey and Weanona Bilbrey (Keck).
Mike graduated from Empire High School in 1974, then one week later he went to work at Halliburton as a maintenance welder for 44 years until the day of his retirement. He married Tammy Burch on October 23, 1981. They were married for 43 years and had two daughters, Staci and Kaci.
Mike attended Beaver Creek Cowboy Church. He was a western loving, true redneck and a cowboy through and through. He spent his days doing what he loved most -checking the cows, soaking up the great outdoors, and making sure no one ever out worked him.
Mike worked hard all his life. He did everything the hard way and wouldn't let you tell him an easier way. He finished every task he accomplished with "That'll do for now". He loved collecting, hunting, fishing, scuba diving and playing cards. He was a man of few words, but he was always present. More than anything Mike was proud of his family. He adored his daughters, Staci and Kaci, and his granddaughters, Landry and Brady, who were the light of his life. He wore the title of Peepa like a badge of honor that no one could take from him. He filled his days with love, laughter and more than a few good stories. His legacy of hard work, determination, humor and more than enough stubbornness will live on in everyone that knew and loved him.
Mike is survived by wife, Tammy Bilbrey of Duncan Ok; daughter, Staci Crow and husband Cacy; daughter, Kaci Ford and Husband Trevor; two granddaughters: Landry and Brady Crow; brother, Dennis Bilbrey and wife Marilyn; sister-in-law, Robbie Fullerton and husband Quinton; and nephews: Brett and Levi Bilbrey, along with many loving friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Weanona Bilbrey.
Visitation will be held at Whitt Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 19, from 5:00-7:00pm.
