Michael Walter Farmer Obituary

Michael Walter Farmer, 58, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Michael was born on July 6, 1967, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Fred and Josephine (Fiery) Farmer.

After graduating high school, Michael joined the United States Navy, proudly serving his country for several years. His time in the Navy instilled in him discipline, resilience, and a deep appreciation for service-values he carried into every chapter of his life. Following his military service, he built a successful career as an integral part of the team at Lockheed Martin for many years, and eventually as a consultant for several defense contracting organizations. He also developed revolutionary software as the founder of Viking Innovations, and established a working farm in Duncan, OK. In all of these endeavors, his sharp mind, work ethic, and ability to connect with others helped him thrive and will leave a lasting impact on all he met and worked with, even in his professional life.

Michael lived life with enthusiasm and a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing, shooting, and cheering on his favorite football team, The Florida Gators. Whether on the water, at the range, or gathered around the TV on game day, he found joy in the simple moments that brought people together.

Michael had a heart for serving others. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer support, or share a kind word. His generosity touched many lives.

Above all, Michael treasured time with his large family, and especially cherished his siblings and Navy comrades in VS-24. He was always happiest when surrounded by the people he loved, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Jill Farmer; sister-in-law, Erika Enrico; and sister, Kendra Farmer. He is survived by his son, Collin Farmer of Jacksonville, Florida; the mother of his child, Tiffany Queener; brothers: Anthony Enrico (Jeanne), Paul Enrico; Joseph Farmer; Jon Enrico (Clara) sisters: Lisa Campagna (Anthony), Freda Hicks, & Myla Sheedy (Jerry); cousin, John "Jay" Fiery III (Lia) of California, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial services are being planned in Jacksonville, FL with a date to be determined. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
