Michael Sheward Obituary
Michael Lynn (Mike/Uncle Mikey) Sheward, age 58, of Apache, OK passed away at home Thursday, April 28, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 4, 5:00-7:00 PM at Crews Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 5, 3:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Apache, under the direction of Crews Funeral Home, with Pastor David Morrow officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Mike was born June 19, 1963 in Mangum, OK to LD and Ella Sheward, and married his wife Kelley on May 15, 1993. He is survived by the loves of his life, Kelley, and daughter, Madi, his ‘baby girl’; mother, Ella, of Mangum; brother, Marvin (Coby), of Lexington TX; brother-in-law, James (Lori) of Duncan, OK; sisters-in-law: Sandra Castle and Laurie Robinson of Apache, OK. Nephews include Kameron (Sara) and Christian Sheward of TX; Justin (Lindsay) Rhodes of WA; Jace Rhodes of OK; Walter (Faith) and David Ashcraft, and Thomas Smith, all of NM, and Douglas Ashcraft and Jonathan Edwards of AR. Nieces are Amber (Jonny) Bernard, Brenna (Zhaqiel) Ervin, Casie (Sean) Darling, Kambra (Chris) Nichols, Felishia (Rick) Millsap, Haylee (Cody) Earls, and Addilyn Rhodes, all of OK; Tori (James) Wheeler of TX; and Pam Ashcraft of NM. Mike is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and great-nephews and nieces, and he considered Jamie Ambrose of Tuttle and Kellie, Ryan, and Laken Grantham of San Diego, CA as family too. He was preceded in death by his father, LD; brother, Tommy; sister-in-law, Bonnie Sheward; sister-in-law, Cindy Halbert; and mother-in-law, Jean Segraves.
Mike enjoyed helping out the Poor Boys Tractor Club, riding in the parades, racing mini-stocks, going to OU football games with Dutch, and attending reunions and vacations with the family. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. But Mike was definitely a family man, his family always came first, and we will miss him beyond measure.
Pallbearers will be Dutch Ward, Chris Bruns, Sean Darling, Jonny Bernard, James Rhodes, and Jace Rhodes.
