Mickey Eugene Jennings

Mickey Eugene Jennings was born June 29, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri to Phillip Eugene and Evona Rae (Hurd) Jennings. He completed his earthly journey on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at his home in Duncan. He was 61.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 8, at 10:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Mickey graduated from Wichita (Kansas) East High School with the Class of 1977. He was employed as a firefighter for at least 25 years for the City of Duncan. Fishing and hunting were his favorite outdoor interests. He also enjoyed reading history books and playing cards. He loved his Jack Russell Terrier, Milo. He also looked forward to attending gatherings where his family, many cousins, and friends were present.

Preceded in death by his parents and niece, Sarah McCoy, he is survived by his sisters: Michele (George) McCoy of Eastern, Missouri; Dana (Tim Vest) Herfurth of LaHarp, Kansas; Terri Jennings of Parsons, Kansas; brothers: Gregory Jennings and Monty Jennings, both of Chanute, Kansas; nieces and nephews: Kyle (Heidi) McCoy; Tyler Jennings; Devan Herfurth; Hannah Herfurth; and great nieces and nephews: Maely McCoy; Madelyn McCoy; Kole McCoy; Hexleigh West.
