Nicole McKenzie Preston was born on April 16, 1992, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Paul and Connie (Chambless) Preston. She passed away unexpectedly at her home in Duncan on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 34.
Nicole worked as a bank teller for First Bank & Trust. She enjoyed reading and attending concerts, but some of her favorite times were simply spent hanging out with her friends. Nicole treasured the people closest to her and the memories they made together. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Mylo, who was a constant companion and brought much joy to her life.
Nicole is survived by her mother, Connie Preston; sister, Brittany Preston; grandparents, Betty and Roy Jarnagin; aunts and uncles, Kevin and Karen Boatman, Diann Chambless, and Billy Chambless; cousins, Halie Gilchrist, Tabitha (Nick) Hancock, Lori (Jared) Foss, Levi Chambless, Codi (Mike) Cameron, Destine (Josh) Dykes, and Dillin (Mary) Chambless; best friends, Sydney Bechtel, Jade Baker, and Ashlee Massegee; and her beloved dog, Mylo. She is also remembered by extended family and many friends whose lives were touched by her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Preston; grandfather, Bill Chambless; uncle, Billy Chambless; and aunt, Debra Chambless.
Nicole's unexpected passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her family and friends will hold close the memories they shared with her and will remember her with love for years to come.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
