Paula Gail Walters was born June 24, 1952 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Arthur and Velma (Price) Summers. She passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at her home in Duncan with her family at her side. Paula was 69.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, January 4, from 5:00PM to 6:30PM at Whitt Funeral Home. A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 5, at 1:00P.M. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jim Grounds officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Paula graduated from Duncan High School with the Class of 1970. She married Dorman Leander Walters on December 14, 1970 in Duncan. She enjoyed working in her yard and growing flowers. She was always willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed playing games on her phone and watching television, especially NCIS, Supergirl, and Charmed. She would also clean out rent houses. She loved spending time and talking with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild.
Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Velma Summers, and her brothers, Donald, Wayne, Jerry and Jimmy Summers, Paula is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dorman Walters; children: Dorman L. Walters Jr. and wife Amy, Carl Allen Walters, Stacy Stapp and husband Brian; grandchildren: Daemon Stapp and wife Skyla, Nathan Stapp, Mark Mapes, Shyanne Mapes, Emmalee Mapes; great grandchild, Jackson Cain-Stapp; and sister, Linda Owens and husband Johnny.
