Phillip Andrew Wright

Phillip Andrew Wright, age 51, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away on May 15, 2026, after a long, courageous battle with cancer, trusting fully in his Savior.

A sold-out believer in Jesus Christ, Phillip lived with a deep passion to see souls saved and lives transformed by the Gospel. He served as Program Manager at Agape Freedom Ministries, where he led a powerful discipleship program that helped countless men break free from addiction and learn to live Christ-centered lives. He also served as a jail chaplain and was always ready to preach or evangelize wherever he was invited.

His own powerful testimony - moving from a life of addiction and misery to a life of freedom, love, and compassion - was only deepened through his faithful endurance during his illness. Phillip loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking in God's creation, often spending quiet time observing the beauty of nature and pointing others to the Creator. Most of all, he cherished his family and loved spending time with his wife and children.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Ann Wright; his daughter, Phoenix Wright, and his son, Lincoln Wright; his bonus sons and their wives, Matthew and Andrea Pinkerton, and James and Danielle Pinkerton; his bonus daughter, Jacobi Brown, who was like a daughter to him; his grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Ali, Thea, Asa, and Adi Pinkerton; his parents, Vernon Wright and Alice Wright; and his sister, Melissa Wright.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Baptist Church, 207 North 2nd Street, Duncan, Oklahoma, officiated by Luke Homes, Tim Jennings, and James Pinkerton. Arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Agape Freedom Ministries in honor of Phillip's life and legacy of discipleship and hope.

Phillip beautifully expressed his journey with the Lord in his own words:

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
I once was lost but now, I'm found.
I'm found and serve the one true King.
Your peace and joy you indeed bring.
You drowned out all my wayward sorrow,
so, I no longer worry about tomorrow.
Today I live in your true love,
you are the greatest gift, from up above.
From up above you set me free,
who the Son sets free is free indeed."

Phillip's life was a living testimony of God's redeeming grace. He will be deeply missed by his family, the many men he discipled, and all who knew him.
