Phyllis Gail Majure

Phyllis Gail Majure, 76, was born December 14, 1949 and left this world no longer suffering on July 31, 2026. She closed her eyes and met her husband, Jimmy Majure, at the top of the stairway to Heaven.

A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, August 19, at 10:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Chapel with Snip Allen officiating.

Born to James Arnold and Jo Evelyn Chasteen of Duncan, Phyllis was raised in a loving and nurturing family. She was a lifelong resident of Duncan.

For the majority of her life, Phyllis was a bookkeeper. She worked for Halliburton for a few years. She was even a licensed hair dresser when her kids were young.

Phyllis and Jimmy were only married 5 years before a tragic accident would take Jimmy's life, leaving Phyllis alone to raise their three children: Angie, Sherry, and Jimmy; however, she loved her children enough for both parents.

She leaves a whole family that will miss her until they see her again; her children: Angela Ferrell and spouse Craig, Jimmy Majure Jr. and spouse Amanda all of Duncan; her grandchildren: Cody Majure of Duncan, Lance Hodges and spouse Sara of Duncan, Hunter Ferrell and spouse Victoria of Houston, Avery Majure of Duncan, Colben Majure of Duncan, Alli Majure of Duncan, Shelby Vansill of Lawton, Harle Vansill of Colorado Springs; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Chasteen and spouse Johnny Ann of Velma; sister, Carolyn Edgin and spouse Dennis of Duncan; nephews: Jason Edgin of Tulsa, Joseph Chasteen; and niece, Joyce Chasteen.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Majure; daughter, Sherry Vansill; parents, James and Evelyn Chasteen; brother, Joe Chasteen and nephew, James Keith Chasteen.
