Reba Noble Obituary

Reba Inez (Strickland) Noble, 85, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born March 3, 1941, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Jack and Vera (Moore) Strickland.

Reba moved with her family to Lawton, Oklahoma, when she was in the seventh grade. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1960 and later attended Cameron University. On June 8, 1963, she married the love of her life, Larry James Noble. Their life together took them to many places across the United States and around the world, including Bangkok, Thailand, and Heidelberg, Germany. They raised their son, Derek, together and shared 63 beautiful years of marriage.

Reba loved traveling, camping, and spending time visiting with family and friends. She enjoyed reading, watching television, and had a deep love for animals. Above all, she cherished her role as a grandmother to her three granddaughters-Miranda, Mackenzie, and Kenedy-who were the joy of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Jerry Strickland and Jim Strickland; and her sister, Ella Burch.

Reba is survived by her husband, Larry; her son, Derek Noble and wife Michelle of Duncan; her granddaughters, Miranda Jackson and husband Jerome, Mackenzie Noble, and Kenedy Noble; and her nieces and nephews: Debbie, Rod, Tina, Tana, Jackie, and Kimi.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Chisholm Trail Hospice for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Reba and her loved ones.

A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Jerome Jackson, Alex Wilkerson, Rod Burch, and Dennis Chavez. There is no viewing scheduled. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider making a memorial donation to the Stephens County Humane Society.
