Rick Rickey Wenford Benedict

Rickey Wenford Benedict was born January 16, 1955 in Altus, Oklahoma to CW "Ben" and Kathryn (Ratigan) Benedict. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Duncan on Monday, March 3, 2025. He was 70 years old.

There are no services planned at this time. His family will celebrate his life at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Rick graduated from Duncan High School in 1973. He graduated from Central State University, now the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, with a degree in Criminology. Rick was very big on fitness and trained as a weightlifter. He worked as a roofing contractor, but in his free time, was an artist, poet, and avid reader. After his father died, Rick carried Ben's Bible with him every day.

Preceded in death by his parents, those left to remember him include his sisters: Vicki Tidwell, Theresa Mitchell and husband Joe; and niece and nephews: Josh (Erica) DuFour, Andrea (Mark) Hasenmyer, Joe Byford, Kyle Fleetwood and Adam Fleetwood.
