Roger Padgham Obituary

Roger Kent Padgham was born in Cherokee, Oklahoma on December 22, 1943 to Clifford and Louise (Scheihing) Padgham. He passed away on November 18, 2023 at the age of 79.

The family will receive visitors at Whitt Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 21 from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 22 at the First Baptist Church in Duncan officiated by Charles Roy McConnell. Burial will follow in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.

After graduating from Cherokee High School, Roger earned his bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from Oklahoma State University. After college Roger began at Halliburton working in the field and eventually to sales and management which afforded the opportunity to live in Snyder, TX, Casper, WY, McAllen, TX, Houston, TX, overseas in The Netherlands, and ultimately Duncan. He loved that Halliburton provided a means to see the world and travel to many countries and almost every continent. After 26 years at Halliburton, he started his own company, Padko, which allowed him to continue working closely with his connections all over the world. Roger retired from CESI after merging Padko with several other companies which later became Flotek. He will be remembered for his world travels and the associated wild tales.

Roger married Lisa Lane in 1984 and together they raised 3 children: Mike, Donna, and Matt. Roger had kids at home for over 30 years which was a blessing as his true passions in life were his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed being outdoors whether it be hunting, fishing, golfing, or spending time with his many indoor and bird dogs. Growing up in rural Oklahoma, Roger never strayed too far from his roots and enjoyed owning cattle, working on tractors, and later in life restoring and maintaining classic cars. He enjoyed a lifetime of camping and traveling to Colorado for family vacations to fish. These interests led he and Lisa to build a home on Lake Texoma in retirement.

Preceded in death by his parents, Roger is survived by his wife Lisa of 39 years; children: Mike Padgham and wife Jeana of Kinsley, Kansas, Donna Berg of New Braunfels, Texas, Matt Padgham and wife Shanna of Crescent, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Joe Berg of Selma, TX; grandchildren: Annie Regier and husband Colton, Ian Berg, Cline Padgham, Quinn Padgham; brother, Bruce Padgham and wife Shari of Marion, Kansas; and mother-in-law Mona Linville of Duncan, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Roger's name to the Stephens County Humane Society at PO Box 669, Duncan, Oklahoma, 73533.
