Ronald Foster Obituary

Ronald Hillard "Ron" Foster, 76, of Duncan, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord and Savior at his home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

Ron was born on July 13, 1949, in Aragon, Georgia, to Pleasant and Jeannette (Manning) Foster. He graduated from Duncan High School with the Class of 1969. On April 25, 1969, he married the love of his life, Mary Joella Curry, in Duncan. Together they built a loving home and raised two children, Shane and Amanda, sharing more than 57 years of marriage filled with faith, love, and devotion.

Ron worked for many years as an inertia welder. Outside of work, he found great joy in spending time outdoors. He loved fishing, especially from his beloved boat, and treasured every opportunity to spend time at the lake and camping with family and friends.

A man of unwavering faith, Ron's greatest passion was serving the Lord. He loved attending church where he played the bass guitar during worship services, using his musical talents to glorify God. Those who knew Ron knew that his priorities never changed-he loved his Lord and Savior and his beloved wife and family. His quiet strength, steadfast faith, and loving example left a lasting impact on everyone blessed to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pleasant and Jeannette Foster; parents-in-law, Luella (Woods) Curry and John Curry; and his brother-in-law, John Curry.

Ron leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Mary Foster, of the home; his children, Shane Foster and Amanda Heaverin and husband, Adam; his grandchildren: Destiny Foster and boyfriend Charlie Romero, Madison Escobar and husband, Mario, Maddox Foster and girlfriend Rainy Scott; his great-grandchildren: Gabriel Vance Escobar, Mason Alexander Escobar, Paisley Jo White, Bennett Emilio Romero, Donivan Porter Romero, Dani Ashlynn Stidham, and Calliope Love Scott-Foster; his brothers: Glen Foster and wife, Pam, and Steven Foster; his sisters-in-law: Freda Morton, Nora Mercer and husband, Harvey, and Debbie Curry; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
