Ronald "Ron" Alan Gibson, 74, was born July 31, 1949 in San Francisco, California to Fredrick William Gibson and Maxine Louise Dwyer Gibson. He passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 in Duncan with his family at his side.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Monday, October 30, at 10:00 A.M. at Whitt Funeral Home with Scott Vaughn and David Griffin officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Ron graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1967 and received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He married Terri Sue Pray on May 15, 1983. To this union, two sons - Craig and Eric - were born. Ron worked as a mechanical engineer at Halliburton for 35 years. He received many patents during his time with the company. He enjoyed walking his many dogs and working in his shop with many different machines. Ron was very active with local Boy Scouts troop 434 for many years. He loved to work and stay busy. Ron attended the First Methodist Church in Marlow.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ron is survived by his wife of 40 years, Terri; his sons, Craig and Eric Gibson; and his granddaughter, Nora Gibson. He is also survived by his sisters: Karen Gibson and Dawn Tucker; and his mother-in-law, Melissa Sue Pray.
