Ronda Faye Rider was born August 6, 1944 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Boise "Dude" and Vivian (Cook) Griffin. She passed away in Marlow, Oklahoma on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the age of 81.

After graduating high school, Ronda married and began the life of a wife, then soon a mother. She later moved with her sons to Odessa, Texas after a divorce and remarried. When that didn't work out, she found employment with Greyhound Bus Services. It wasn't long before she went to work for the State of Texas working with Intellectual Development Disabilities clients. In her later years she met her husband, Ray. Soon after they married, he became ill and while still working long hours, she came home to be his caregiver. Eventually, she retired after many, many years. She was a great cook and enjoyed it along with her crafts. She also played the bongos. On a good day, you may even have found her dancing, walker and all. She loved her friends and especially loved her family time. She was a matriarch to a lot of people.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dude and Vivian Griffin; husband, Ray McGill; brother, Dale Griffin; sister Wilma Blackwood; nephews: Ricky Watkins and Steve Watkins; and niece, Jacquelyn Dobbs.

Ronda is survived by her sons: Larry and wife Karon Ely, Jared Ely; three grandchildren: Dakota Ely, Raven Ely, Kaylee Williams and husband Tyler; great-grandchildren: Tripp and Marlee Williams; and nephew, David Watkins. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and special friends: Art and Mindy and their family.
