Sandra Denise Short was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on February 20, 1967, to James Vernon Short Jr. and Wilma (Connell) Sears. She passed away in Oklahoma City on Sunday, August 20, at the age of 56.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Sandra attended Lawton Public Schools. She was a homemaker and raised six children. Sandra loved spending time with her family and her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her father and husbands: Steve Patton and Jimmy Bowman.
Sandra is survived by her children: Sueanna Denise Patton of Bristol, Tennessee, Stevie Dwayne Patton of Chicago, Illinois, James Mitchell Patton of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, Chian Marie Mickles of Coeburn, Virginia, Nicholas Ryan Patton of Coeburn, Virginia, Emerald Jade Patton of Lawton, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Wilma Sears; brother, Jimmy Short and wife Nina of Duncan; and sister, Marsha Sue Short of Pound, Virginia.
