Sandra "Sandy" June Wilson, 83, went home to be with Jesus in Heaven on May 10, 2025 surrounded by family and friends. She was born January 29, 1942, in Boston, MA to Bernard Verranault and June Fredericka Ferrante Verranault. She had a brother, Mike Verranault, and a sister, Donna Verranault.
Sandra's going home celebration is scheduled for Saturday, May 31 at 11:00 a.m. at The Christian Center on 420 E. Plato Rd., Duncan, Oklahoma, 73533 with Pastor James Miller Officiating.
Sandra was a modern and ballet on pointe dancer as a young adult. She worked as a bank teller in her 20s, then, a brilliant bookkeeper in the carpet cleaning industry after raising two daughters for many years. Sandra was smart, good with numbers, and always demonstrated clever ingenuity to make processes more effective.
Sandra was kind and considerate. She enjoyed her long-playing vinyl records, 45s, and listening to old music. She favored songs by Elvis and Patsy Cline. Sandra enjoyed being in nature. She loved the warm sun, green foliage, and colorful flowers, especially carnations. She particularly appreciated watching wildlife, including birds, rabbits, and even interesting-looking bugs.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Bernard; mother, June; brother, Mike; sister, Donna; and daughter, Desiree Renee Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Stacie Wilson Mumpower and her husband, Stephan Mumpower of Lawton, Oklahoma; grandson, Nicholas Lee Wilson and his wife Lea of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; and great grandchildren: Draven, Leo, Emma, Rowan, and Cayden.
