Shaquita Dejong Stone, 41, passed away on Thursday, March 29, in Grand Forks, ND. She was born
May 9, 1976, in Charleston, MS.
A family visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 4, 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 5, at 10:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Higle, pastor of Velma Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Velma Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Shaquita graduated from Quitman High School in Quitman, AR. She was engaged to Donald Lapham. She loved decorating her home and keeping it clean. She loved her daughters and was very proud of them.
Shaquita is survived by her parents, Shelia and Andy Bradley, of Velma; daughters, Summer Byrd, Shelby Byrd, and Savannah Stone, all of Velma; sisters, Channing and husband Matt Madden of Ft. Smith, AR, and Amanda and husband Jody Wood of Heber Springs, AR; nieces, Christina Stone of Velma, Paula Clark of Alma, AR, and Megan Clark of Ft. Smith, AR; granny, Lafaye Dorris House of Yuma, AZ; and fiancé Donald Lapham of Grand Forks, ND.
She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Loyd House of Water Valley, MS.
Pallbearers will be Bill Bunn Jr., Bill Bunn III, Brett Woods, K.D. Eason, Greg Cox, and Terry Sutton.
