A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2 P.M. at Central High Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Sharon was born October 10, 1943 to H.D. McSwain and Lois Marie Dodson McSwain. Lois passed away when Sharon was nine. Her dad married Leona Schimmel who then filled the motherly role in Sharon’s life. Sharon and her parents move around the Oklahoma/Texas area, living in Elk City and Amarillo, TX. They eventually moved back to Oklahoma City where she graduated from Putnam City High School in 1961. In 1967 they welcomed their firstborn, a daughter Stacy, and then added three more kids, sons Russell, Scott and Carl.
Sharon was a homemaker and a very good one. She always made sure no one went home hungry or thirsty after a visit. She loved to knit, read books and work word puzzles.
