Sharon Kay Vonfeldt Obituary

Sharon Kay (Menzer) Vonfeldt was born August 25, 1949 in Great Bend, Kansas to Clarence Hugo and Sylvia Marie (Steiner) Menzer. She completed her earthly journey on Monday, May 5, 2025, with her family at her home in Duncan, Oklahoma at the age of 75.

A rosary is planned for Thursday, May 8, at 6:00 P.M. at the Assumption Catholic Church. The memorial service will be on Friday, May 9, at 10:00 A.M. at the Assumption Catholic Church with Rev. Oby Zunmas officiating. Inurnment will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin on Monday, May 12.

After completing her college education, Sharon was employed as a Medical Technologist. She married the love of her life, Wayne Vonfeldt, on October 11, 1975 in Olmitz, Kansas. Together they raised their two sons, Ty and Cole.

Sharon loved completing beautiful embroidery and stained-glass pieces. She enjoyed fishing and playing board games. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was very important to her. She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church. Sharon will be remembered as a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Preceded in death by her parents, Sharon is survived by her devoted husband, Wayne; her loving sons and their wives: Ty and Lynsey Vonfeldt of Yukon, Cole and Krystal Vonfeldt of Duncan; and adoring grandchildren: Shayne Vonfeldt, Reese Vonfeldt, Madison Vonfeldt, and Emry Vonfeldt. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Richard Miller; and her nieces, Shelly Miller and Jennifer Hagan.

The family would like to express their thanks to Chisholm Trail Hospice and Andie Arrington for the special care given to Sharon.
