Shawn Tillison Obituary
Shawn Daniel Tillison, also known as "Tattoo Shawn" was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on June 29, 1978 to Dolphus Daniel Tillison and Barbara (Lauderdale) Kelley. He passed away on July 22, 2021 in Duncan at the age of 43.
Prayer Vigil will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 8:00 PM at 52nd S. 4th Street Duncan, Oklahoma.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Monday, July 26, 2021 at 7:00 PM at the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center in Duncan.
Shawn was a talented tattoo artist that had worked for over 25 years; apprenticing many of new upcoming artists along the way, his mom even being his own first client to receive a tattoo from him. He was currently working at ExtINKtion, but had owned many other tattoo shops in other states, including Koolsville in Bricktown, making many great friends along the way.
Shawn was very proud of being a merchandise manager and a marketing manager for bands such as ICP. One of his favorite songs was written by his brother, Neon Moon and sold the rights to Brooks and Dunn.
Shawn was a family man that was proud of being able to rekindle his love to his now wife after 25 years, Angela Kay Kennedy, who was also his first love. Shawn married the love of his life, Angela, on February 2, 2020 in Las Vegas. He loved spending time with family and friends, playing board games, Madden and Call of Duty were just a couple of his favorites to play with them. Shawn enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and camping. He loved his motorcycles and was a supporter of the Bandidos. Shawn was a giving person, who loved to do tattoos for charity to give back to others in need. His last project that Shawn was working on was getting a wheelchair for Wheels.
Shawn is survived by his wife, Angela Tillison; five children: Kaili Tillison; Donavan Martin, Jr. and wife Shelby; Taylor Corp; Makayla Sanchez; along with his furry babies: Lulu; Ozzy; Sharon; a granddaughter that he adored, Octavia Martin; his mother, Barbara Kelley; two sisters: Terri Tillison; Shelly Lauderdale; as well as many other great family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad; brother, Roger Tillison; and uncle, Mikie Eugene Gibson.
