Shirley Ann Crenwelge, of Marlow, Oklahoma, was born April 21, 1944 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Harry Edward and Alline Effie (Pruitt) Welborn. She passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the age of 77 in Oklahoma City.
A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, January 7, 2022, at 2:00PM at Fairlawn Cemetery, Comanche, with Pastor Randy Southerland officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Shirley attended Albuquerque’s Alvarado and Valley High Schools. She later received her GED. She managed many cafeterias and restaurants in Albuquerque and Oklahoma City. She also cleaned houses in addition to her restaurant job. She later worked as a custodian at Halliburton. She enjoyed gardening with her husband and also playing dominoes. Shirley enjoyed being with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Tim Leon Ward.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 41 years, Nathaniel Samuel Crenwelge; two sons: David Samuel Crenwelge and Todd Richard Ward and wife Kristie, all of Marlow; grandchildren: Clayton Ward, Jayc Ward, T.J. Ward, Brandon Ward, Phillip Ward; great grandchildren: Keton Ward, Able Ward, Zeppelyn Ward; brother, Jack Welborn and wife Linda of Clinton, Arkansas; and sister-in-law Thu Welborn also of Clinton; two aunts, Betty and Millie; and niece, Nicole Propp.
