Shirley Howell Wade went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2025, at the age of 79. Shirley was born April 26, 1946, to Herman Jones and Emma (Fowler) Jones.

Shirley was a lifetime resident of the Duncan area. She was a devout Christian, loved the Lord and singing gospel music. She was also a sports fan, specifically anything OU, OKC Thunder and the Kansas City Chiefs. Shirley loved and adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was known as Granny to them and many of our dear friends. Shirley never met a stranger.

Survivors include her husband Floyd Wade; son, Bret and wife Tracy Howell; four daughters: Shana Howell, Kimberly and Gary Moore, Sherrie and James Miller, and Stephanie and Waid Roland; grandchildren: Zach (Samantha), Tyler, Kyle, Derrick, Jameson, Jacoby, Skyllar, and MeKailyn along with ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Shirley was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Larry Howell; her grandson, Brandon Reese; and all her siblings: Gene Paul, Philip, Preston, Jerry, Lanny, Charles, Mildred June, and Ruthie.

Viewing will be available at Whitt Funeral Home on Monday, June 2, from 9:00 A.M.-7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 3, at Ray of Hope Church in Comanche, Oklahoma with Pastor Mike McCord, assisted by James Miller, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Derrick Moore, Casin Moore, Jacob Miller, Richard Jones, Patrick Lackey, Matthew Fralick, Ricky Jones, and Stevie Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Krayton Hocker and Jameson Miller.
