Sonny Reynolds Obituary
Vernie "Sonny" Winn Reynolds, Jr., passed away in Duncan, at the age of 70 on October 31, 2020.
Cremation has taken place at the family's request and services will be scheduled at a later date. All arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center in Duncan.
Sonny was born May 19, 1950, to Vernie Winn Reynolds, Sr. and Elva Lee (Boicourt) Reynolds in Saint Louis, Missouri. He worked as a ranch hand for more than 20 years, as well as doing odds and ends jobs throughout his years. Sonny married his loving wife, Rebecca Lynn Cannon, in Antlers, Oklahoma on December 17, 1972; they were married for 47 years before his passing. Sonny enjoyed life and especially spending time with his children at car shows and going fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Reynolds of the home; three children: Burt Eugene Reynolds of California, Mary Ann Lawrence of Duncan, William Albert Reynolds of Duncan. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Victoria Lyn Cash, and four sisters, Nadine Welch, Margie Jones, Toni Snow, Carol Jones.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, as well as two brothers, Ralph Taylor and Robert Taylor, and a sister, Dorothy Robertson.
