Steven "Steve" McGregor Obituary
Steven Martin McGregor was born February 25, 1947 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Robert and Mary (Crane) McGregor. He passed away surrounded by his family in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the age of 77.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Steve married the love of his life, Annette Myers, on May 24, 1982, and together they raised their two sons, Chris and Bobby. Throughout his life, Steve worked in a packing plant early in life and as a truck driver for a period, but he spent over 40 years working in the oilfields of the USA and overseas, often working long hours, to ensure his family had everything they needed. He enjoyed taking care of his family and his love was evident in everything he did. In his free time, Steve enjoyed working in his garden, fishing, listening to music, and showing off his strength by climbing a rope using only his hands. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Steve will be remembered as a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary; granddaughter, Cierra Moss; brother, Don McGregor; and sister, Susan McGregor.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Annette; children: Chris McGregor and wife Teri, Bobby McGregor and wife Renae; 12 grandchildren: Chance and Ashley McGregor, Casey Moss, Madison and McKain Hammond, Kamber McGregor, Jeremy Rogers, Chris Blades, Cameron Blades and Megan O'Neill, Montana and Josh Barrett; 10 great-grandchildren: Parker Jones, Cade McGregor, Kash McGregor, Sage Moss, Jackson Hammond, Slade Hammond, Jackson Barrett, Archer Blades, Foster Blades, Tommy Blades and Emma O'Neil; and a brother, Bob McGregor.
