Stuart Henderson Obituary
Stuart Edward Henderson was born March 8, 1931, in Zephyr, Texas to Leroy and Attie Mae (Beaty) Henderson. He passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 94.
After graduating high school, Stuart attended Oklahoma State University. He married the love of his life, Peggye Walls, on August 23, 1952. Together, they raised their daughter, Lisa Jo, and shared a wonderful life together for 72 years. Throughout his life, Stuart worked as a territory manager in sales but his true passion was ranching. He loved the outdoors, caring for the horses and cattle, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Attie Mae, and his sister, Bobbie Ruth Nix.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Peggye; daughter, Lisa Jo Mattheiss and husband Mark; grandchildren: Daniel Roy Mattheiss and wife Danielle, Carter Theodore Mattheiss and wife Kirsten, Amanda Jo Mattheiss; great-grandchildren: Elijah Warner, Wesley Stuart, Levi David; and brother-in-law, Larry Nix.
There are no services planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
