Susan Joyce (Drescher) Adams, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on January 8, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1947, in Chickasha Oklahoma to Alvin and Joyce (Plummer) Drescher.

Susan married the love of her life JD Adams in Velma, Oklahoma on November 20, 1965. They were happily married for 47 years and raised their two children in Velma. After JD retired, they bought an RV and enjoyed traveling together. Other hobbies she enjoyed included sewing and doing other crafts. She even made a jacket she entered in a competition and won $200.00 for it. Susan also enjoyed cooking and baking, and she would definitely let you know if you were not cooking things the right way. For the past few years, she was working at a daycare caring for the babies in the nursery and teaching the kids sign language. Since her grandkids called her Meme, so did all the kids at the daycare. She was so happy to be working that she would get upset when the daycare was closed. Susan was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Drescher; father, Alvin Drescher; sister, Lynda Arnold and husband Bill; her husband, JD Adams; her daughter, Kathy Monroe; and her son, John Adams.

She is survived by her daughter in-law, Lori Adams; grandchildren: Kristina McNutt and husband Jason, KC Whitten, Corey Adams, Erica Covey and husband Mark, Kyra Hensen and husband Bryce, Zachary Monroe, Caleb Adams, Desiree Adams; and her 12 great-grandchildren. Though she will be missed by so many, Susan is happily back with her husband and her two children again.

The family will receive visitors from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, January 12 and services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Whitt Funeral Home in Duncan, Oklahoma. A live stream of her service will be available on her obituary page at www.whittfh.com.
